From 6 April until recently I have been travelling a fair bit. I was in the USA from 6 April till mid May for work. Then I flew to Hokkaido for a break before coming back to work by the end of May. In June, I drove up to KL with my family and then flew to China, Suzhou and Hangzhou for another break. Here is a photo that I love very much, taken outside Yue Fei's temple in Hangzhou.

This little devil did his poo poo on my bed this evening. Now he is hiding under the chair avoiding even eye contact with me. Sigh. Perhaps his discipline has gone down.

I had a wonderful dinner at UOB Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant. It is really nice. I enjoyed the food and ambience.
An interesting point to blog about is the kong fu tea. There is this guy that would pour tea into your tea cup from a tea pot witha neck that is 2 m long! He would do various stances and then get the tea in the cup nicely. I will post a youtube video when I get the chance.
2007 came and went like flash. Many things happened and it will be one of my most memorable years.
Daddy passed away on 13 November in China and I had to fly to Guangzhou to see to his cremation and to return his ashes home. Brother and I went on the first possible flight on 13 Novemeber and cremation was on 14 November. We flew back with his ashes on 15th, which was my brithday. The tragedy of it all only dawned on me as I was filling out an immigration form to leave China that day. I couldn't control the tears that welled up inside me as I completed the form with daddy (his ashes) in my arms. We held a memorial wake for him from 16th to 18th and the ashes was sent to Bishan on Sunday, 18th November. I never thought that such a thing would happen in real life.... i supposed that such dramatic events only happened on TV.
Other than this incident, 2007 was a good year for me. I met new friends and I went on a trip to Bali with 6 other good friends. Unfortunately, one of them passed away in September from heart attack. Concurrently, I did my annual checkup in July and was found to be healthy (or at least that's what the report said). Upon reflection, I should be more careful with my health. We usually take it for granted. My friend, Sunny's demise and my dad's passing will be a good reminder for us to keep our hearts healthy.
I wish 2008 will be a much better year for me, my family an my friends. One good thing did come out from this.
Last week, I brought my mom along to Hong Kong with me. My friend was on an official trip and we joined him there. He kept us company when he was not working and my mom grew fond of him. He proved to be a very good friend indeed. So far, my mother was very grateful for the company and he even helped us out extensively during my father's funeral. He helped us with our air tickets to Guangzhou and he was tending to odds and ends at the memorial wake. My mother has even expressed interest to take him as a god-son. He has agreed and so has his family..... so in 2008, I would have a new brother....god-brother. Our family will have the same number of members as last year....
Happy 2008 to all my friends and everyone reading this blog!
After 2 days in Bangkok, 5 in Khon Kaen, 1 in Singapore and arriving in Langkawi last night, today was off to a bad start.... to begin with the neighbours at City Bayview Hotel were noisy until about 3 am. I didn't get a wink till then. Sigh.
But I got to drive the Mistubishi Space Wagon today.. quite a different feeling from my 1 litre starlet... I still like my starlet.....
Well.... I will try to update as soon as possible. I do have lots of photos from Bangkopk and Khon Kaen to share.
